    "It runs mainly on dirt tracks in an acceptable state, some stretches of road that have to be done off the bike and some stretches of asphalted road, which make it possible to cycle around the Teide on a mountain bike".

    "It is necessary to preserve as much of the authorised route for the Challenge as possible from intensive use. These are very sensitive natural areas, which are subject to a limited load due to this type of activity. It is therefore forbidden to throw rubbish such as gel and bar containers, punctured inner tubes, etc. along the route, under penalty of exclusion".
